GPS Container Lock for Real-Time Cargo Tracking & Tamper Detection
Secure shipping containers, trailers and box trucks with a reusable electronic lock combining live GPS tracking, instant tamper alerts and geofencing built for Indian exporters, logistics fleets and high-value cargo movement.
Reusable GPS Smart Lock for Container, Trailers & Box Trucks
The Klik e-Seal GPS Container Lock (JN707A) is an electronic smart lock that combines physical container security with live GPS tracking. Unlike a passive RFID bolt seal that is read only at the port gateway, this device tracks cargo continuously across the entire trip and triggers an instant alert the moment the lock cable is cut or the device casing is opened.
The unit weighs just 67 grams, runs on a rechargeable 1800 mAh battery, and uses a 1.8 mm galvanized steel cable rated up to 60 kg tensile force. Data is streamed over the 2G GSM network to the Klik e-Seal asset management platform, where logistics teams can view live location, seal/unseal events, route history and battery status from any browser.
Manufactured by Jainam nextech pvt ltd
(Jainam Multi-Product India Pvt. Ltd.) a CBIC-approved RFID seal vendor and ISO 17712:2013 certified producer of security seals.
Why Standard Tracking & One-Time Seals Aren’t Enough
One-Time Bolt Seals Don’t Detect Mid-Transit Tampering
RFID and mechanical bolt seals only verify integrity at the destination port. If a container is opened, looted and resealed during transit, the tamper is invisible until it’s too late.
Plain GPS Trackers Don’t Physically Secure Cargo
A vehicle GPS tracker shows you where the truck is, but doesn’t prevent or detect unauthorized access to the container itself. Other GPS e-locks can be unlocked via software, creating manipulation risk and our device opens only when the steel cable is physically cut, triggering an instant tamper alert with GPS location.
Cargo Theft Hits Indian Logistics Hard
Container pilferage, route deviation and unauthorised offloading remain persistent risks on long-haul routes between factories, ICDs and gateway ports, particularly for high-value or duty-paid shipments.
Reactive Logging Detects Loss Too Late
Tracking systems that log events without real-time alerts mean losses are discovered after the fact, when recovery is harder and insurance claims more complex.
Key Features of the Klik e-Seal GPS Container Lock
Live GPS + BeiDou Dual-Mode Positioning
Sub-10-metre location accuracy with dual satellite system support. Reporting interval configurable from 5 minutes to 24 hours based on battery and tracking needs.
Instant Wire-Cut Tamper Alerts
The 1.8 mm galvanized steel cable triggers an immediate alert to the cloud platform the moment it is cut or removed, along with the exact GPS coordinates at the moment of tamper.
Cover Removal & Movement Alerts
The device detects unauthorized opening of the housing as well as motion-state changes, giving complete visibility into seal status, not just location.
Geofencing & Route Monitoring
Define authorised routes, gateway ports, ICDs or yard boundaries on the Klik e-Seal platform and receive alerts when the cargo deviates or enters restricted zones.
Reusable Device, Single-Use Cable
The electronic unit is designed for hundreds of operational cycles. Only the disposable steel cable is replaced after each unseal, keeping per-trip cost low compared with conventional GPS hardware.
Rugged IP65 Build for Indian Conditions
Operating temperature range of −30°C to +70°C, IP65 dust and water resistance, and a nylon-plastic housing built for monsoon, port handling and long-haul transit.
Smart Power Management
Configurable static and motion-mode reporting intervals plus deep sleep extend battery life from ~2 days at 5-minute reporting to ~240 days at one report per day on a single charge.
Configurable via Charging Dock
Each unit is provisioned through a USB charging/configuration cradle APN, server IP, reporting interval and tamper logic are set once and can be updated remotely afterwards.
How the GPS Container Lock Works
Step 1: Seal the Container
Insert the galvanized steel cable through the container door lock hasp or trailer locking bar. Push both ends of the cable into the device, the LED confirms a successful seal.
Step 2: Device Wakes & Reports
The device registers on the cellular network, acquires GPS/BeiDou position and begins reporting location, seal status, battery level and movement state to the Klik e-Seal cloud platform.
Step 3: Continuous Monitoring & Alerts
Throughout transit, the device monitors the cable, housing and motion. Any tamper event (cable cut, cover open, geofence breach) triggers a real-time alert with location to designated users.
Step 4: Unseal at Destination
At destination, the consignee or customs officer cuts the cable with steel cutters to unseal. The device logs the unseal event with GPS location and time, then can be recharged and reused with a fresh cable.

Frequently Asked Questions
The JN707A is a GPS tracking smart lock it is not a substitute for a CBIC-approved one-time RFID bolt seal used under the self-sealing procedure (Circular 26/2017). Many exporters use both: the RFID bolt seal for customs compliance, plus this GPS lock for in-transit tracking and tamper alerts on high-value consignments. Klik e-Seal supplies CBIC-approved RFID bolt seals separately.
An RFID bolt seal is single-use, read only at the gateway port, has no GPS, and is mandated for export self-sealing. The GPS Container Lock is reusable (device body), has live GPS tracking throughout the trip, sends real-time tamper alerts, and is used for security and visibility not for CBIC self-sealing compliance.
The electronic device is reusable for hundreds of operational cycles. The 1.8 mm steel cable is single-use it must be cut to unseal and replaced for the next trip. Replacement cables are sold separately and per-trip cost remains very low compared with disposable GPS trackers.
The JN707A uses 2G GSM (GPRS). 2G M2M services remain operational across Indian telecom networks. For specific routes or international shipments, please confirm 2G coverage with your SIM provider 4G variants can be quoted on request.
Battery life depends on reporting interval. At a 5-minute reporting interval ~2 days. At 1 hour ~17 days. At 6 hours ~90 days. At 24 hours ~240 days. The device fully recharges in about 2.5 hours via the supplied USB cradle.
Yes. The Klik e-Seal asset management platform provides API access for integration with fleet management, TMS and ERP systems. Custom data feeds and white-labelled dashboards are available for enterprise volumes.
The device is installed on the container’s exterior locking hasp not inside the container so the GPS antenna has clear sky view. In poor-signal areas the device buffers up to ~1,000 location records and uploads them once signal returns.
